IELTS Online Speaking Examiner

IDP Education Ltd. is expanding its network of IELTS Speaking Examiners in Eastern Canada (Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes) for its IELTS Online Speaking test. This recruitment round is focusing on hiring new Examiners, who are not currently involved with the IELTS test. IELTS Online Speaking Examiners deliver high stakes Speaking tests in a secure online environment. They work from home and must be available on specific days. Ideal applicants:  - Excel in compliance and adhering to strict requirements, - Keep confidentiality in all aspects of delivery and interactions with stakeholders, - Can deliver impartial and expert assessment of the Speaking test - Intermediate IT/computer skills.
Work from home in a private, secure space with minimum Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements
Be available for a minimum of one rostered day per week (currently Wednesday); three weeks each month, i.e., 3 days per month
Work shifts of varying lengths (2 – 8 hours) from 6:00am – 2:00pm local time
Supply availability for up to 3 months when requested
Deliver rescheduled tests on Wednesday nights (unsuccessful first attempts from Wednesday morning testing)
Re-mark Speaking tests as a result of jagged profiles (significant difference between Speaking and Listening/Reading scores)
Mark reference items to monitor overall accuracy
Complete self-access courses and review interviews when needed
Attend online meetings/training
Requirements
An undergraduate degree or qualification(s) that can be demonstrated to be equivalent to an undergraduate degree or Master’s degree. (Three years’ full time academic study, or a minimum of one year’s full-time academic study in the case of a Master’s degree).
A TEFL/TESOL qualification from a recognised institution (certificate level or above). Or a degree in education, if supported by an undergraduate degree which includes studies focused on English Language teaching EAL/ESOL/ELL.
Substantial relevant teaching experience, the majority of which must relate to adult students (16 years and over).
